I have watched the new series Rookie Blue and have to say that I really like it. It is very entertaining and keeps you wanting to watch and know what is going to happen next.
The actors and actresses in the series are awesome. The acting is convincing and almost makes you forget that these cops are just characters on a tv show. I keep wanting to know what is going to happen next.
Okay so I am hooked on Rookie Blue. If you have not checked it out, it is great entertainment.
Here is some information about the cast of Rookie Blue.

On June 21st, 2010 Cst Chelsey Alice Robinson of the RCMP was in a traffic collision with a semi truck while patrolling for an impaired driver. Cst Robinson was transported to hospital and later succumbed to her injuries.
Cst Robinson had only 7 months service. This is a sad and tragic story. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Robinson family.

I saw this post and had to post the information here.
Mandi Schwartz, a 22-year old member of the Yale women’s ice hockey team, has recently been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia for the second time. She is currently back home in Saskatchewan, Canada undergoing chemotherapy, and within the next 30-45 days she will have to have a stem cell transplant to survive. We have not yet located a donor who is a perfect match.
Under the leadership of Dr. Tedd Collins, a New Haven-based clinical immunologist, we are undertaking a world-wide search for cord blood and bone marrow donors. In addition to helping Mandi, these donors could also save the lives of many others with life-threatening illnesses. Dr. Collins has launched the “Become Mandi’s Hero” campaign to coordinate our efforts to find donors. The process of donating a newborn baby's cord blood is free & harmless for all involved, and it could save a life. In many cases the umbilical cords that could save someone like Mandi’s life wind up getting thrown away.
Dr. Collins will send cord blood collection kits to people who request them free of charge & will even pay for return postage (a cost that is usually in the $1000s). Expectant mothers can visit www.BecomeMandisHero.org to learn more about the cord blood donation process. Attached is a brochure that explains how to get a kit from Dr. Collins if you are an expectant mother.
There is also a $1,000 reward to the mother with a successful match. Those of German, Russian, and Ukranian ancestry are strongly encouraged to donate, however, a cord blood donation of any ancestry can obviously still impact someone's life.
By helping Mandi you will be giving birth to two lives at once.
Thank you!

Over the last few weeks, there has been footage of an arrest by Victoria Police all over the news. It seems that more and more, we turn on the news and there are similar incidents playing. All these incidents are being captured on video by people standing off to the side watching from a distance.
There is no doubt that police officers have a tough job. We appreciate all that they do.
If you have not seen the latest video footage, then take a look at it here.
Would you want to be the police officer in the footage? I am sure you would not want to be the people on the ground being kicked.
Does it appear to you that the subject's being arrested are complying? Are they fighting the officers?
What do you think of this incident?

One of the most popular items sought after are the study guides available for becoming a law enforcement officer. There are what seems endless study guides available, but I have put a carousel widget together of some of the ones that we think are great.
Of course, the study guide that will be more applicable to you will be the one relevant to where you are applying. If you are applying for a State Trooper position, then you should think about getting the State Trooper study guide and so on. One study guide that I think is great no matter what is the guides written by John Douglas.
If you do not know who John Douglas is, he is a retired FBI Agent. Make sure to read about John Douglas on his Official website.
Check out this interview with John Douglas.

There are many books out there about police officer's and their job. There are even books out there for someone married to a police officer.
Here is one book that we think is worth your time reading. It is a very reasonably priced book and co-authored by a woman, Nora Kelly, who was married to an RCMP officer (also known as a Mountie). Nora Kelly became a freelance journalist so is not new to writing.
This type of book is great for anyone who is married to a police officer. It makes them realize how life is different when they marry a police officer. As the book description says "Nora Hickson Kelly married a man, not the Force or she thought!"
Enjoy the read.
